keegan is a Melbourne made
Women’s clothing label that values
originality, quality & slow fashion.
Relaxed tailoring, experimentation &
minimalism form keegan's trademark
aesthetic. Comfort, style & versatility are integral
to each keegan design.
Launching in 2013, the label has two
bricks & mortar locations
~ Fitzroy North & a Pop up store in Armadale.
keegan clothing uses only local manufacturing,
favouring the use of natural fibres to produce
quality, timeless garments, designed to cater for
today’s fashion forward & socially/environmentally
Each garment is designed & manufactured
in-house & our busy studios are completely
open for public viewing within our retail spaces.
This grants the customer complete access to the
evolution of each garment, from design, pattern
making and sewing, through to the finished
product. In doing so, we aim to forge a more meaningful
relationship between customer, maker & product,
whilst providing transparency
Put simply, we hate throwaway fashion.
Manufacturing in-house means we can
produce in small runs, to meet demand,
as opposed to mass-producing each
product. Our garments are designed
with longevity in mind, from the timeless
cut and aesthetic of the design, to the
way each piece is constructed.
Each year we produce a trans-seasonal collection, designed for
layering & year-round wear. Many of
our garments are produced using locally
sourced dead stock designer fabric &
biodegradable materials. During cutting,
all usable off-cuts are collected &
stored for future projects, or donated.
Shopping local has always been important
to the keegan label. The vast majority of
our materials are purchased through
Australian suppliers & our buttonholing,
eyeleting & laser cutting for our garments,
are outsourced within Melbourne.
Our knitwear is produced through a
collaboration with knitter Tanja Kozub. Each
piece is hand-crafted in her Mornington
Peninsula studio in small numbers &
delivered in person to our stores.
We love celebrating Australian design
& stock a careful selection of Melbourne
jewellery & footwear labels in store.
